Recorded live in 1994 at Santa Monica, California´s Mayfair Theater, Toward The Within features 13 Dead Can Dance performances, as well as solo material from Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard. Included between songs are exclusive interviews with Perry and Gerrard. Previously available on DVD only as part of the Dead Can Dance 1981-1998 boxed set. Bonus features include five music videos. Dead Can Dance hasmade has consistently groundbreaking music that´s impossible to either categorize or predict. Their explorations have covered gothic rock, percussion-driven world music, folk blues, and many an ethereal space in between.
