Samhain: Live 1984 Stardust Ballroom
Formed by Glenn Danzig after the dissolution of his first band, the macabre and menacing Misfits, Samhain was a melding of metal, punk, and goth music that was starker and darker than anything that had come before. The show captured here was filmed by Al Flipside at Hollywood´s infamous and now defunct Stardust Ballroom, where the band played their first L.A. show in 1983. Uncut, unedited, and shot with a handheld video camera, the film makes palpable the utter insanity of the event, allowing audiences to get a taste of what it was like to be in the audience at this seminal show. The songs include "Macabre", "The Hungry End", "I am Misery" and "Moribund".
